DR. MATTHEWS (2018)
The story of the Ugandan doctor Matthew is one of courage. He confronted many obstacles: his father’s untimely death, poverty, kidnapping by Kony’s Lord’s Resistance Army, the death of a child, and the loss of his mentor. He was also the leader in one of the world’s first major fights against Ebola. With his country in a state of terror, Matthew chose to stay and save other lives rather than to flee to safety. The choice cost him his life.
