QUAVO AND LUKAS HAAS ALSO STAR WITH HIGHLAND FILM GROUP HANDLING WORLDWIDE RIGHTS

Los Angeles, CA May 24, 2022 – Golden Globe®-winner John Travolta (Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction, Paramount Pictures’ Grease), hip hop artist Quavo (ABC’s “Black-ish,” FX’s “Atlanta”) and Lukas Haas (Warner Bros.’ Inception) star in the new action heist thriller Cash Out, it was announced today. Written by Dipo Oseni and Doug Richardson (Die Hard 2, Bad Boys), the film is directed by Randall Emmett (Midnight in the Switchgrass starring Bruce Willis, Megan Fox and Emile Hirsch; Savage Salvation starring Robert De Niro and John Malkovich).

Cash Out is produced by Cecil Chambers (AWOL-72) and executive produced by Saleem Elmasri.

Leading Los Angeles based sales company Highland Film Group is co-financing the actioner and handling worldwide rights to Cash Out, with sales being launched at the upcoming Marché du Film. The film is set to start principal photography this month in Georgia.

Notorious criminal mastermind Mason (John Travolta) is heartbroken after his girlfriend Decker betrays him, revealing herself to be an undercover Interpol agent. His bad luck continues when he’s drawn into a disastrous bank heist with his younger brother Shawn (Lukas Haas). Now in possession of a highly coveted safety deposit box and with multiple players in pursuit, Mason must quickly discover what the heist really entails, as time is running out when military special forces storm the bank.

John Travolta is known for his portrayals of Danny Zuko in the Academy Award-nominated Grease alongside Olivia Newton-John and Stockard Channing, Edna Turnblad in Adam Shankman’s BAFTA Award-nominated musical Hairspray, and hitman Vincent Vega in Quentin Tarantino’s Academy Award-winning Pulp Fiction. He received a Golden Globe for his performance as Chili Palmer in Barry Sonnenfeld’s Get Shorty and was nominated for an Academy Award for the role of Tony Manero in Saturday Night Fever.

Quavo is an award-winning musician and record producer best known as a member of the hip hop trio Migos. On top of his successful music career, Quavo has a performed in a multitude of television roles including on ABC’s Emmy Award-winning “Black-ish” starring Anthony Anderson and Tracee Ellis Ross, FX’s Emmy Award-winning “Atlanta” created by and starring Donald Glover and Lee Daniels’ “Star” alongside Queen Latifah.

Lukas Haas’ many film credits include Christopher Nolan’s Academy Award-winning Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio and Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Peter Weir’s Academy Award-winning Witness and Tim Burton’s Mars Attacks! alongside Jack Nicolson, Pierce Brosnan and Glenn Close.
